By his stripes we are healed
Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are all having a blessed day I was in the book of Isaiah 53 v 1-5 a few weeks ago and this verse demonstrated that although Jesus was scorned, hated and rejected by mankind, he still took up our pain and bore our suffering. He was pierced for our wrongdoings and crushed for our immoralities. Jesus died for our sins on the cross to heal humanity and to set us free from sin so that we can reconcile our relationship with him; so that our transgressions can be forgiven, therefore we can draw close to Jesus and he can draw close to us ( James 4:7-10). He died so we would no longer be separated from him. ‘The chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed’ By his stipes we are healed is referring to sin and righteousness, not sickness and diseases. We are healed by the shame and guilt through the cross so that we may be forgiven, acquire peace and spend eternity with Christ our Lord. I looked up the definition of healing ...
