My prayer for you

Dear God, As we approach the end of 2024, I want to t hank you for your protection, your guidance and leading us to where you needed us to be for this year. This year has been filled with some ups and some downs but through it all, you were there. You watched over us, you kept us safe, even in situations we didn’t know were a danger to us. You took our burdens and held them as your own, you fought our battles and all we had to do was be still. You heard our cries and delivered us out of our troubles. You never gave up on us despite falling short many times. You never left us in the dark, even when it felt like you wasn’t there, but you was there the entire time. Lord you have been so good to us and you are worthy of all the praise and all the glory. You are worthy of our worship. You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. There is none like you, and every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess tha...

Let God take control this December

Happy new month everyone!  Welcome to a new blog. Thank you for all the support, it honestly means so much to me and for those of you who are new to my blog, to quickly catch you up my theme for this year revolves around increasing your faith in God.   I have been trying to remain consistent in speaking on this topic this year to encourage you (including myself) to keep trusting in God even when life gets difficult.  Recently, I came across a TikTok that said, instead of asking God; “what can you do for me?” all the time, why not try reversing it and ask God “what can I do for you?” This video gave me a new perspective and insight on how to better communicate with God. Sometimes we pray what we think we want God to bless us with and then become frustrated when it does not happen or if it doesn’t happen in the way we expected it to.  So in this last month of the year, I don’t want to pray for my hearts desires but instead I want to pray for what God wants for me in th...

Make room for what you pray for

Welcome back to another blog! I have been meaning to write a blog about this topic for quite a few weeks now and kept putting it on hold. I’m currently up at 5 in the morning because God revealed to me in a dream, about an hour ago now, that this is the time to start preparing for what God has in store for you, this is the time to make room for it! And so I thought maybe I should stop putting this blog on hold and actually start writing. In the book of Micah 7:7 it states  "But me, I'm not giving up.  I'm sticking around to see what God will do.  I'm waiting for God to make things right.  I'm counting on God to listen to me." When you are trusting in God for something you have to believe that God is making a way for you in ways that you couldn’t imagine. Even when you don’t feel him or you feel like you’re on your own in your situation, he is working behind the scenes for your good, it’s all working out in your favour! You just have to have faith that he is.  ...

Faith is the bridge to Gods heart

Welcome back to another blog! As we soon approach the new month of October I pray that the month ahead will be blessed and I pray that God will continue to guide and use you for his glory. In Hebrews 11:1 it states; ‘Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.’ Faith is a force that propels us to believe in what we cannot see and to sustain hope during our difficult times, even when we do not understand how God is going to work things out for our good. Faith brings comfort and can provide strength and guidance. But why is faith so important to God? In the book of Hebrews 11:6 it says that; ‘without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Faith is proof of our belief and trust in God's plan for us, his goodness, his grace and his mercies. It is displayed before God that although we do not fully understand His plan for us, we can trust th...

Faith of a mustard seed

Hello everyone, welcome back to another blog! It has been a while since I have uploaded but I am back by the grace of God. We have made it into the month of August! I pray that this month will be amazing and I pray for favour and an overflow of blessings for you over this month. This years blog theme is ‘A Year Of Increased Faith’ and I have been trying my best to not fall off course and stay on topic! With that being said, I want to talk about having faith as a mustard seed. I was in the Book of Matthew 17:20 which states; ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’ So what does it mean to have faith of a mustard seed? Mustard seeds are small round seeds of various mustard plants. When I first looked up what a mustard seed looks like I initially just had in mind Jesus was signifying that you can have a faith that small for things to move in your...

Delight yourself in the Lord

Psalms 37:3-5: ‘Trust in the Lord, and do good. Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and he shall bring it to pass.’ I was meditating on this scripture and wanted to look deeper into what it means to delight yourself in the Lord. To delight yourself in the Lord means to find fulfilment, joy and satisfaction in Him. It is the feeling of contentment and happiness in your relationship with God and making a purposeful and intentional choice to prioritise Him above everything else. Furthermore, when we delight ourselves in the Lord, we are making a deliberate decision to seek his presence and draw closer to him (James 4:8). However, in order to fully delight in the Lord God, it is important to understand who He is. It is almost impossible to delight in something if you do not know anything about it. It goes back to what I quantified in my previ...

What it means to Ask, Seek and Knock for God

Hello everyone, welcome back to another blog! The theme of this blog in 2024 is a year of increased faith. However, I realised that in order to increase your faith and your trust in God, you have to first get to know him personally for yourself. It is like any other relationship, whether that is a close best friend, family member or your spouse; you trust them because you know them, you took the time to learn and understand who they are as a person and the more you grow with them the more certainty and assured you feel around them. We need to develop the same growth with God. This year I want to know God better, not just for my faith to be stronger but to build a deeper and more intimate relationship with him. I want to have my own understanding of his word and a more profound revelation of who he is. Subsequently, I am presently studying the book of Matthew. Matthew is the first book out of the four gospels ‘Matthew, Mark Luke and John.’ These gospels are the only books that re...
